Phil Mickelson beats Tiger - wins Pebble for 40th career victory
PGA Tour | Written by BigRed
Being paired with his long-time nemesis Tiger Woods for the final round, Phil Mickelson shot a spectacular round of 64 to win the 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach National ProAm for his 40th career victory on the PGA Tour.
Phil Mickelson came from six shots behind to get his 40th career victory on the PGA Tour and to win the AT&T Pebble Beach ProAm for the fourth time. If that alone wasn’t spectacular enough, Mickelson’s performance was made even more special by the fact that he was paired with Tiger Woods on Sunday. While Phil carded a bogey-free round of 64 (-8), Tiger collapsed, shot 75 and dropped twelve spots into a tie for 15th place.

I’ve always enjoyed watching you golf. But watching you yesterday was such a thrill to see golf shot after shot made so precisely. Congrats again and best of luck for the rest of the year.

Congratulations from a danish Phil-fan. Always a pleasure to see Phil on a golfcourse - way of behavior and way of treating the golfclubs. Thats the way golf should be played.

Hey Phil! Clutch performance on Sunday. Love watching you win and that “glassy-eyed” look you have when you know the only person that can stop you is yourself. My great uncle Don Lengyel tells me he has had the opportunity to follow you on the golf course in Arizona and talk with you your wife Amy. I hope to get the chance too some day. Maybe at the Waste Management Tourny next year. Cheers!
